RGB Shield 714/716 Installed as Shield

Post by scottder »

I am curious with this installed as a shield how does one access the other available ports, do they pass through or are they still reachable under the shield. Sorry new to arduino.

Unused pins are 'passed through', but it is not so convenient to solder to the tops of the header pins. Other options would be a proto-shield build with stacking headers, or a screw-shield.

You can stack one of these between the Arduino and the RGB shield and have easy access to all pins.

Hmm ok, may be easier to external mount then ( looking at this for a garduino type project. So likely I will put this in a enclosure as well. Thanks for thew quick response!
