Do I want a motor shiled?

Cool, thank you. So is my schematic several post above is correct? So the Arduino has 3 timers with two outputs each, but if I understand the document I will need to change the top timer limit which then basically limits me to 3 outputs. Does the motor shield work the same way and would it give me the outputs I need?

better questions, can I return the Arduino and motor shield I ordered and get the mega or is it not returnale like most electronics?

The motor shield works off the same timers.
