Braking a DC Motor

Post by rweber95 »

The AF library doesn't seem to have a stop command for DC motor control, just motor.run(RELEASE) which removes the drive to a motor but doesn't short the motor leads to provide dynamic braking. Is there such a command? or a method to accomplish this?

The L293D H-bridge chips are not very well suited for motor braking. There is a thread on the subject over here: http://www.avrfreaks.net/index.php?name ... 46&start=0
