I purchased the GPS Shield and recently flew it to 106,000 feet on a balloon with the Trimble GPS module. All worked great until balloon burst, at which time the solder pads were blown off the board at the Trimble connector, so I will need to purchase another one.
1. Does the GPS shield support the new Ultiimate GPS module with all the correct connectors?
2. Has the Ultimate GPS Maximum Altitude no limit been confirmed for MTK3339?

Re: GPS Shield Question
1. At this time the ultimate GPS is not a drop in replacement for the GPS shield module
2. We are waiting to get some results, we do not have any confirmation at this time.

Re: GPS Shield Question
So, would it be feasible to order the Adafruit Ultimate GPS Breakout - 66 channel w/10 Hz updates - MTK3339 chipset and connect it's serial pins to the GPS shield header row?
