LCD Shield - Use interrupt pin?

by tedcool on Thu Jul 19, 2012 2:17 pm

I've got the LCD shield working nicely - Thanks!

I'd like to use one of the interrupt pins on the chip to notify my processor when a user presses a button - I have a busy sketch and I don't want to keep checking in the main loop - it's a little slow.

Did you bring one or both of the interrupt pins out to the edge connector?

Thanks!

I assume you are talking about the RGB LCD shield. But which edge connector are you referring to? The interrupt pins (2 & 3) are not used by the shield. You can solder to the tops of the pin header, or stack a proto-shield or wing shield between the Arduino and the LCD shield.
