Ultimate GPS and GPS Data logger sheild

Post by ai6pg »

I purchased the Ultimate GPS chip and the GPS Data logger shield.

Unfortunately, I didn't get the Ultimate GPS with a break out board.

Is there a board I can purchase that will interface the Ultimate GPS with the GPS Data Logger sheild ?

Or can you point me in the correct direction?

Thank you,

Peter Grace

You best bet would be to return the Ultimate GPS and exchange it for the EM-406A GPS Module, which plugs directly into the GPS shield, or exchange it for the Ultimate GPS Breakout.

The EM-406A will be a simpler solution, but if you need the specific features of the Ultimate, then the breakout board can be used in conjunction with the GPS logger shield. (Note that the breakout will not connect directly to the shield. It's designed to be wired to the arduino as a separate unit, either on a breadboard or proto-board, or with discrete wiring).

Please contact [email protected] to arrange an exchange or return, and reference this thread.

Thanks!

Thank you.

I've started that process.

I appreciate the suggestion.
