question pn532 rfid/nfc shield

Post by satspace »

Hi there
I just received this shield from local distributor :-)

I have a question: is it possible to use it in combination with arduino uno to have a rfid reader/writer controllable by a PC ? (linux for example)...

If yes, can you point me to an example sketch to put into the arduino ?

Thanks

EDIT:
after finding this:
http://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.ph ... 66&start=0

I think a better description of my goal is needed ....

I would like to have a pc driven rfid reader/writer. (RFID Cooking with Mifare Classic and backtrack)
What I have is an Arduino uno, the shield, a "classic" ftdi usb2serial converter.

Is it possible , how ?

p.s. I don't have necessarely to use the uno for this project ....

Thanks

Have a look at libnfc. The breakouts were originally designed for them to have some oshw to go with their ossw.
