I recently purchased two datalogger shields and I want to use them in a research project. Today I started testing the shields with the online tutorial. The first shield went fine, as the tutorial is very informative.
However, while testing the 2nd shield there was a problem.
The card that worked in the first shield isn’t recognized by the second shield.
I did use the official SD card format tool and the card works on the 1st shield.
What can I do?
Thanks

Re: Datalogger shield
It's possible that there is a bad solder joint on one of the header strips. Please post some clear, focused, detailed pictures of both sides of the shield.

Sorry for the bad quality on previous posts (thought the Surface Pro would take better pictures..)
Here are some detail pics: (iPhone)
(Is that quality good enough, or do you want me to get a better device to take them?)

Re: Datalogger shield
Well, the solders look OK to me. Not sure what else it could be.
You could try touching up the solders to make sure they're all solid. If that doesn't help, email [email protected] with a link to this thread and ask for a replacement shield and extension headers.

Re: Datalogger shield
Soldering was the problem, I re-soldered the SDcard holder and now it's working.
Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Datalogger shield
Thanks for the update - we'll update our process for this shield to get better solder joints!
