I am hoping to build a GPS logger for a vehicle. I want to have it start tracking when the ignition turns on, and save data to a card. It will be on my motorcycle, so I'd like it to be as small as possible, and fit under the seat, with an external antenna on the fairing. At the end of a trip, I'll pull the card and save the data to my computer.
I am hoping to prototype on my Arduino Uno, and add a Ultimate GPS Breakout (http://www.adafruit.com/products/746) and Micro SD Card Breakout (http://www.adafruit.com/products/254). When everything is working, I'll swap out the Uno for a smaller Arduino.
Is this a reasonable path to go down?
Thanks - I'm a bit of a n00b at all this.
GPS logger = Arduino + GPS breakout + SD card?

Thanks for the reply; I've ordered parts.
And I see that I've probably posted this in the wrong spot.
