Re: Arduino Yun and Compatibility with PN532 NFC Shield
This is great support. This is why i like buying from Adafruit!
The instructions for the NFC breakout board mention a level shifter if you plan to use it with 5v.
The instructions for the NFC shield do not mention level shifting when connecting to an arduino.
Is the NFC shield 5v tolerant?

Thanks Rick.
Just to be clear, the I2C bus on the NFC breakout is not 5v tolerant correct? Will I damage anything by connecting it directly to the I2C bus on the arduino BANNED?

As long as you don't have any 5V I2C devices on the same bus, you can connect the NFC breakout directly to the Yun.

Re: Arduino Yun and Compatibility with PN532 NFC Shield
Hi there,
I've been trying, unsuccessfully to connect the adafruit NFC Shield with my Yun. I have it tested with and Uno with Ethernet Shield, but when I connect it to the Yun and use the example code provided earlier in the thread, the Red Busy light goes off and stays off after 'Hello' appears in the console.
Are there hardware modifications to be made to the basic soldering of the pins on the shield to make it work with the Yun?
Thanks,
Peter

Re: Arduino Yun and Compatibility with PN532 NFC Shield
The Yun uses Digital 2 for I2C, which conflicts with the NFC Shield's use of Digital 2 for IRQ.
You have to cut the trace between IRQ and Digital 2, and then jumper IRQ to Digital 6.
Follow the Leonardo instructions here:
