CC3000 doesn't work

Post by zymie »

I recently purchased a CC3000 shield and tried to run the buildtest. However, CC3000 is not initializing. It's not able to read the firmware version.

Hello, CC3000!

RX Buffer : 131 bytes
TX Buffer : 131 bytes
Free RAM: 1229

Initialising the CC3000 ...
Unable to read the firmware version
Unable to retrieve the firmware version!

Wrong firmware version!

I'm testing with an UNO R3.

Please post clear, detailed pictures of both sides of the shield, showing your soldering.

Soldering looks good. Can you try closing the solder jumpers on the bottom of the board and see if it works that way? It's shouldn't be necessary, but let's try it, just to be complete.

If it still doesn't work, Please email [email protected] with a link to this thread for a replacement CC3000 shield.

I tried soldering the jumpers, but the CC3000 is still not detected.
