CC3000 doesn't work with SmartConfig

Post by R2 »

Hi Everyone:

Recently bought an Adafruit CC3000 Wifi Shield. I tested the examples: buildtest, Web client, ntp test, Internet Time, Geolocation and everything was OK.

The only problem is with SmartConfig. I tried with mini iPad and iPhone 4 but didn't work.

Could you help me?

Thanks a lot

Are you sure you've got the SmartConfig app configured correctly on your phone/pad?

I don't know what to tell you. SmartConfig works for me with my iPhone 4. There are some dedicated CC3000 forums linked on this page - maybe you can find an answer there:

Thanks Rick

Do you think is the router?

It is a EchoLife HG520c (Huawei) and the security is WEP 64 bits.

I can change the security, I have this options (WEP 128 bits, WPA-WPSK, WPA2-WPSK, WPA-WPSK/WPA2-WPSK)

Anyway I will check the forum

You might try WPA2
