Wave Shield and TS922 vs. TLV2462

Post by hiduino »

I have a Wave shield with the TS922 Op amp chip. Is the TLV2462 pin compatible? Can you piggy back a TLV2462 on top of the TS922 for a little higher output? Or not recommended?

The TLV2462 is pin-compatible. not sure about stacking them - I'll find out.

Yes, you can stack them. It will give you a little boost (about 3 db) on the output. Realistically, that is like the difference between 10 and 11 on the volume knob.
If you need more power, have a look at our class-D amp modules: https://www.adafruit.com/search?q=class+d
