Recently I found out about the two CC3000 wifi breakoutboards and the two shields, those are a lot cheaper than the original wifi shield for Arduino's.
Unfortunately, there's a lack of info at the "technical details" section on the product pages.
For example: Which frequency bands are supported? Only 2.4GHz or 5GHz** as well? The same with channels, which are supported? Just 1 to 11 (North America) or 12 and 13 (almost everywhere else) as well? Power usage info would be useful there as well.
Could those tech-specs be added there?
**It sucks that there aren't any 5GHz solutions, well, none that I could find... Got way to much interference here on the 2.4GHz band from over 200 neighboring networks.

They're 2.4GHz only. Not sure about channels 12 and 13.
