No output from PowerBoost 500 Shield

Post by daygecko »

Just received my PowerBoost 500 Shield.
With power switch on there is no 5V output.
Checked my battery voltage while connected to board and my meter reads 0.0 VDC.
With battery disconnected from board 3.9 VDC
Tried 2 more lipoly batteries of different capacities with same results.
Measured resistance of boards battery terminals with a reading of 0.27 ohms.

Could you post clear pictures of both sides of your board showing any soldering you have done and then email [email protected] with a link to this thread for a replacement

Looks like two more Powerboost failures today.

Try adding a bit of solder to those pins and try again. Take a look at this Soldering Guide for some help.

Adding more solder to a faulty board is not going to magically make it work again.

A good board isn't going to work if not properly soldered either.
