Hello there,
I have purchased Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield for Arduino v2 Kit - v2.3 from you guys and i am just about to purchase this robotic chasis:
http://www.mhobbies.com/4wd-metal-motor ... tform.html
that is actually 4WD. It appears to come with 4 DC motors 6v each. Now based on the criteria of your motor shield, maximum voltage i can power is around 13V which will be enough only for 2 motors on this chassis. So if i purchase another shield from you, would it be possible to stack two motor shield on each other and power each of them with separate 12v batteries and run 2 DC motors on each shield? Can that be programmed? Or can that even work that way or should i consider some other approach?
Thank you,
Slav

The shield can supply 13v to each of the 4 motor channels. You would only need one board to power your chassis.

Oh... So i can supply 24V to the shield and i will be able to derive 6V to each of 4 channels? Did i get this right?

No! 24v will destroy the shield and your motors!
If you supply 12v to the shield, the shield will supply 12v to each of your 4 motors.
If you supply 12v to the shield, the shield will supply 12v to each of your 4 motors.
