Multiple steppers on single post

Post by edrft_99 »

I uqve been looking on the fourm and have not been able to find a direct answer for my question. Am I able to place to stepper motors (the Nema 17 in your store) to a single post on the Motor shield? Would I still be able to place a third motor in the second set of posts? Thanks

It would be possible to run two of these motors on one channel of the V2 motor shield. https://www.adafruit.com/product/324
The same may not be true of other motors - even if they are NEMA 17.

Yes. If the motor's electrical specifications are the same or similar to this one: https://www.adafruit.com/product/324

Please note that 'NEMA 17' is not an electrical specification. It only tells you the layout of the faceplate bolts.
