cc3000 wifi shield issues

hi peeps, just got my wifi shield and tried to run the test code to see if everything is ok, input all the details it needs to connect to wifi on my laptop all i get is

Hello, CC3000!

RX Buffer : 131 bytes
TX Buffer : 131 bytes

Initialising the CC3000 ...


then nothing, not entirely sure what ive done wrong or if my shield is a dud? can anyone point me in the right direction?

Is your laptop operating as a router? What is the code you are running and have you tried running it with the debug option turned on?

thanks for the reply, i was running the adafruit wifitest sketch, turns out its the board, ive a new one coming.
