PN532 Shield not outputting to serial
So awhile back I purchased a PN532 Shield and finally today got around to soldering it together and uploading the format code to my Arduino Leonardo. The upload process runs just fine, however when I open the serial monitor I get zero output to it, and I've even made sure the baud rate is set to the proper number. However I do notice that on my shield that the busy LED is always lit but I don't have enough experience with the board to know if that is an issue or not. If anyone has any helpful advice that would be greatly appreciated!

Could you post large (less than 1meg,~800x600), clear, detailed pictures of both sides of your board showing any soldering you have done and the connections to it?

Have you made wiring corrections for use on a Leonardo
https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-pn5 ... eld-wiring
"The IRQ pin is tied to Digital pin #2 by default. However, on the Arduino Leonardo and Yun, digital #2 is used for I2C which will not work. If using with a Leonardo or Yun, cut the trace beween the IRQ pin and Digital #2 and solder a wire from IRQ pin to Digital #4 or higher. Then change the example code so the the IRQ pin is declared as the new pin (say #6) not #"

Re: PN532 Shield not outputting to serial
I have a new PM532 breakout board hooked up to an Uno (with a 328 chip). I've uploaded the ReadMifare sketch, but all that it is outputting to the serial monitor is this: >
what might be wrong? I've double-checked the wiring....

Check the baud rate between the program you are running and the serial monitor. They both need to be the same.

yes, the baud rate was off.
now I am getting this message:

If you post some pictures of your boards and connections we can take a look.

Re: PN532 Shield not outputting to serial
Problem solved! I had the MOSI from the PN532 connected to the Arduino digital pin 12 instead of the 4050!
