Hi forum
After successfully building the tweet-a-watt project I'm ready to step up to designing and building a comprehensive smart energy control system for my home. My plan is to use an XBee/PlugPC combination for my network coordinator, and running IronPython code on Mono for cross-platform Microsoft/Linux/Mac compatibility. A wide variety of sensors/controllers are to be installed in various places around my house giving me temperature, humidity, light, movement, current, voltage information as well as the ability to control relays for loads to the pool pump, HVAC and individual outlets in various rooms. Each sensor/controller will have an XBee running the ZigBee firmware.
To help me keep a clear record of my progress I decided to start a blog. This is more for my benefit, but if anyone is interested it can be found at:

and updates will be twittered to kurtar. Constructive comments / suggestions would be most welcome indeed.
Many thanks to Adafruit for their superb Tweet-a-Watt project - I'm now a smart energy convert!
