Xbee configuration

I am trying to configure two xbees to pass pin signals to each other. Everything makes sense EXCEPT for the fact that when I try to set the Input Adress, under Line Passing, to 0xFFFF as stated in the tutorial, it won't let me type the x. I am using x-ctu, and I can enter the 0 and the FFFF just fine, but not the x. What's up with this? any reason this should be happening?

0xffff is the c way of writing the HEX number FFFF try that.
