I am interested in recording data samples from a Kill-a-Watt to a log file on my computer to analyze the performance of a motor under varying loads over 1 to 6 hour periods of time continuously at 1 to 5 second intervals. The excellent tutorial and python scripts under the Tweet-a-Watt project are geared at recording KWH data every 5 minutes. Any thoughts on how difficult it would be to mod the the hardware (if necessary) and the Python Scripts (probably wattcher and sesnorhistory) to write out all of the values (Volts, Amps, Hz, VA, PF, and KWH) more frequently? Once in a CSV file further analysis could be done so there is less need to modify the existing graphing output. Thx.
