I saw the xbee on the tweet-a-watt project, but have a question...
I am looking at doing something similar, but instead of using the kill-a-watt, just getting some current transformers and sending the values, then having a script do the math on it...
not 100% sure if i am explaining it right, but basically, taking a power bar, and capturing each item plugged in to it, and sending the 6 values (for more indepth watt tracking)... does that make sense?
If you can point me into the right direction, that would be awesome! would love to be able to track multiples of these, in a central location...

The tweet-a-watt is a good starting point. Study the theory a bit then create a single circuit. Once you have that working you can scale it up to six.

I know I said 6... but what if it is an 8 outlet power bar?
