XBee starter Kit

Post by lueis »

hi,

I want to use XBee for my wireless measurement project (angle).
Is it possible to set this code on XBee without Arduino? If I need Arduino, can i use the XBee as a standalone-system (transmitter and reciever) without arduino in my final system or will the Code be deleted after i pulled it out of the Arduino?

Is there a good starter kit you can recommend for S2? What do i need to start? Is there anything else you can recommend?

Thanks
lueis

The Adafruit adapters will allow you to connect to the xbees with most devices including (with the right cable) a computer. Check with Digi as I think they now make an xbee with a built in processor which sounds like what you are looking for.
