XBee Not Working with Arduino Pro Mini via FTDI
I'm trying to make a 3.3V Arduino Pro Mini send data out the FTDI header and into an XBee Pro S2B, then to a linked XBee on my laptop. The two XBees are the same kind, and I've tested them on my computer and they communicate perfectly, but when I try to wire one to the FTDI port, nothing happens. I've been connecting the Rx to the Tx and vice versa and the ground and the power pins, but it doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something about how to connect the XBee and the Arduino?

Could you post clear, detailed pictures of both sides of your board and the connections to it?

Re: XBee Not Working with Arduino Pro Mini via FTDI
The connections are: VCC (Arduino) to 3.3V (XBee), RXI (Arduino) to DOUT (XBee), TXO (Arduino) to DIN (XBee), and GND (Arduino) to DTRn (XBee). The other two wires are power from the FTDI cord plugged into my computer (they connect the 5V to the 5V_IN XBee pin and the FTDI ground to another ground pin on the Arduino). I'm using a Parallax USB adapter for the XBee because the XBee's pins don't fit my perfboard.

You should have a ground between the mini and the xbee and you should solder the connections for your jumpers.

I thought the GND pin on the Mini connected to the DTRn pin on the XBee counted as a ground (and I'm not soldering it together yet because the whole thing is still a bit of a working project). What other connections should there be?
