Xbee s2 zb VREF 1.2 voltage divider

Post by ilparola »

Hi guys, i found out that VREF in xbee s2 zb is fixed at 1.2v. (and i think this is insane).
In order to work with all the most common sensor out there that runs at 3.3 or 5 volt, i need to use a voltage divide.
Could you guys suggest me which ohm value should i use for not messing with the internal resistance of the xbee?

Thanks a lot.

If there is an alternative way too i'd like to know, because maybe i'm totally wrong :)

Andrea.

For 5V -> 1.2V, use an 8K and a 2.7K resistor
For 3.3V -> 1.2V use a 4.7K and a 2.7K

The formula is Vout = Vin*R2/(R1+R2), where R2 is between Vout and GND. and R1 is between Vin and Vout
