XBee basic hook up question.
two: XBee Module - Series 1 - 1mW with Wire Antenna XBee Module
one: Lithium Ion Polymer Battery
one: USB XBee Adapter
one: Adafruit Pro Trinket - 5V 16MHz
one: XBee Adapter kit
I built the XBee Adapter kit and it seems to work. I hooked up the other XBee via the USB kit and it shows up in XCTU and even finds the other XBee as a remote module but says "Could not initialize device".
My questions:
What is the role of the Pro Trinket? I guess it draws power from that (via USB at the moment) and will eventually be connected with the Battery.
What connectors to I hook the battery to on the Trinket?
via the bread board I have the ground and the 5V on the side rail (not the FTDI end) of the trinket going to ground and 5V of the XBee adapter kit I built. Correct?
What do I do next? Don't I need to hook up the TX and RX (not the FTDI end) of the trinket to the XBee?
Do I hard wire that?
How do I initialize the remote module?
Where do I hook up the LEDs that I bought? WS2801
The idea is that the computer will control (or at least start) a sequence on the LEDS that will be synched with music on the computer.

Re: XBee basic hook up question.
I still don't know what the Pro Trinket is for in the system. It powers the XBee and LEDS and receives a ON command from the XBee?
