It was working but now its not..

Post by jetblack »

I recently put a Ice tube clock together which worked great first time with no problems for two weeks...however today I noticed the display is blank while the power plug is plugged in with the red led on and if I unplug and then plug it back in it doesn't beep either.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Update.... after leaving it unplugged for around 10 hours it worked again but soon after it started to beep, the clock would start flashing while keeping time until I set the time again. After about the forth time the display went again and back to how it is above..

HELP

Well the clock worked perfectly for two weeks... would it of even worked with a missing part?

the only part I didn't use was the header to enable flashing of the firmware..

Anything else?

Right better late than never...

Last night I decided to plug it in again and it worked fine, I managed to set the time and an alarm.... luckily I set a second alarm as by the morning the clock no longer displays anything nor does it beep when plugged in, even after leaving it unplugged all day. Below are the best photos I could manage (I could give it another go if these are not clear enough) hopefully something can be found wrong with it.

OK throw away the coin cell battery

if you post up clear, not-glared photos, we can check your soldering
