Ice Tube Clock Question

Post by neutron spin »

Just fired up my new clock but for some reason the whole display blinks of and on at about a two second interval. It appears to be keeping time. I used the latest firmware and programmed the fuses per the Makefile using my Atmel STK500 and Studio. I am thinking it is a firmware setup problem. Here is what was done using Atmel Studio:

In the Program dialog box selected:
1. IV hex file source code
2. IVEEP hex file for EEPROM
Flashed and verified OK

In the Fuse dialog box:
1. Set High to the Makefile value of 0xc6
2. Set Low to the Makefile value of 0xE2
Flashed and verified OK

Is there something I may have missed? I am still learning things. Is it possible to use my STK500 board and program the chip using the Makefile and AVRDUDE at the command line?

Yes, if you are referring to the Clock FAQ....I have two clocks that are doing the same thing...cycling on and off at the same interval. The FAQ does not seem to address what is happening. C10, R1 and R2 are installed correctly on both boards if that is the question. :?

its in the FAQ ;)
The clock is blinking once a second, is it broken?

You have to set the time, once the time is set the clock will stop blinking
