monochron firmware issues

Postby pacosshaft » Mon Apr 02, 2012 11:57 pm

My monochron clock kit came with a bad chip. I had a spare atmega328p, so i downloaded the hex file and loaded it. The pong clock works, but the ball moves pretty slow compared to the video online. I then tried loading the dali clock and the seven segment clock, and neither of them worked. Then I loaded the pong clock again, and it works fine, but still slow. I'm using a usbasp programmer and the only warning I'm getting is "cannot set sck period". Any ideas about what is going on here.

The 328 should be running from the internal 8MHz oscillator (actual time comes from the 1307 RTC). Not sure what would make it run slow.

If you had a bad chip in your kit, you can contact support@adafruit.com for a replacement. Include a link to this thread.
