Livids, if you still need any help, I'm in the SF Bay area as well and have built several of these. I also have some pretty cool firmware for it.

Thanks, William, for the kind offer. We (my daughter chiefly - I'm here to help!) completed the clock this weekend and she's very happy with it (as am I). When we gave her the kit for Christmas I was pretty sure that it would be a hit. It has exceeded my expectations!! Having to struggle through challenges, fix mistakes, and make it to an operable clock - priceless. We're all very happy. She did solder in the interface for mods, but don't see us playing with that for some time!!

I've check the resistance with nearby solder job for 28-pin socket, 28-PLCC socket, 2x10 header. I found one shortage at the header and I assume that's connected. I also found one temporary shortage that goes on and off on the 28-pin socket (shown in blue).

Last time I checked, there are some shortage on the tube, should I check that again?

Sorry, this thread got hijacked a while back.

From the solder-side, everything looks good. But on your tube board, it looks like you had quite a bit of solder flow-through to the front of the board on both the header and the tube itself. It is possible you have a short there. Can you get some close-up shots of tube-side of the tube board from a few different angles?

Thank you for your instance response! I've seen a solder shortage on the tube wire and removed it, and it works now :)
