ICE TUBE CLOCK DIGITS DISAPPEAR

Post by oneluckymurphy »

I built my ice tube clock kit and everything seems to work fine when it is first plugged in, after 30 seconds one of the digits will go dark, then a few seconds later another, then another. If I short the outside legs of Q3, the digits come back and everything works fine.

Nice soldering job! Sounds like a bad Q3. If you contact [email protected] with a link to this thread we can send you out a new one.

Take care handling these. They are very static sensitive.
