TIMESQUARE NOT WORKING

Everything soldered. Text on matrix facing correct way. It will not let me attach a jpeg for some reason.

There is a 1 meg limit on uploads. If you re-size to about 800x600 you should have no problems.

I desoldered the matrix to show the soldering. The matrix solder was good but it didn't work.

Awesome desoldering job! Those matrices are tough to remove. I don't see any problems with your soldering either. Have you checked the battery voltage? Coin cells can go flat in no-time if they are accidentally shorted in handling.

How about the battery? Did you check the voltage?

Multimeter reads it as 2.96 volts so it's got juice. I soldered the matrix on again.

And you are sure that the matrix is oriented correctly as indicated on the PCB?

Since everything appears properly assembled and the battery is healthy, the most likely suspect is the processor itself. It is possible that the firmware was not loaded successfully. If you contact [email protected] with a link to this thread, we can send a replacement TimeSquare.
