Ice Tube won't power back up after being power cycled

Post by ehenry »

So I unplugged my Ice tube clock and when I plugged it back in... nada. No startup beep, no lights, nothing. I guess I'll have to take it apart and diagnose it from scratch, but has anyone else seen a similar issue? It has been plugged in and running for months without a problem until now.

Haven't heard of any problems like that before. I'd start from the voltage regulator and work your way up from there. Sounds like it is not getting any power at all.

I checked the power supply this morning and I think it may be what died. No voltage on it at all. I don't have another 9V supply handy but once I get one that may be it. Totally odd.

Not common, but it does happen. The most stressful time of all for most circuits is on power-up.
