Clocks flashes and reset, then works?

Post by Speedy765 »

Hello, I was building my kit but during the testing the tube didnt went on.
After some reading on the forum I checked my solders for cold joints and retouched were needed. Then the tube was still nog lighting up, reading a lot can go wrong with Q3 I jumped it. That got the tube lighting up (see video)

In the video @ start the segments are actually pretty much towards the white and and not really blue, hard to see with the camera.

I followed the troubleshoot guide and here are my voltages:

IC3: 8,83V (edge)
0V
4.97V

This one seems correct.

Q3: 4,59V
R3: 3,38V

D3:
When the tube is almost white and it flashes (start of video) this reads 56,9V (to high?) and after the reset it drops to 27V (also to high?)

As you can see I replaced some resistors with other ones of the same value, I got the yellow/orange mixed up two of them.

You can find the images on the links below, for some reason it says they are invalid to upload here

I suspect its something with the voltage booster, but not sure what. Any help would be appriciated.
