Hello
I was merrily plugging away at my ice clock till I got to the voltage test section. My numbers were not the same as was in the instructions so as I checked over my work I realized I put my hexfet in wrong. I gave up on de-soldering it over concerns of ruining the chip and/or other components on the board. Has anyone else done this? Am I completely SOL. Or maybe I need some better tools for desoldering (I am using a digital iron and a solder sucker)?
If this was posted elsewhere I apologize, I looked around for quite bit but couldnt find anyone who made as dumb a mistake as I have.
Thank you for your help!

Desoldering is never fun, but you should be able to get it out with the solder-sucker and some patience. Some folks have better results with solder wick. But patience is the most important ingredient. Trying to force it will result in a lifted trace which is harder to repair.

Hot air stations are great if you have one. You can heat multiple pins at a time.
