Which SMT equipment will fit?

Post by Wicsware »

Hello,

I was a few years far from SMT, now back to business, planning to start with RAM assembly as first step. I might buy a used line.
Which equipment/size will fit, any suggestions please to put some growth factors and get more options for future expands?
Also in these days, is 100k USD will do the work?

Thanks a lot.

What kind of speed do you need? $100K is about double what you need for a nice new pick-and-place solution capable of components down to 0.30mm ~ 0.50mm pitch and 0201 discretes. My favorite cheap setup is this APS gold unit: http://www.apsgold.com/pick-and-place/a ... ith-vision

Figure about $30,000 to $40,000 for this unit depending on how many component feeders you need. That's where the big money happens IF you need an unusually huge number of feeders.

Other comparable capability units cost roughly the same.
