USB Microscope (windows)

Post by oldee »

I've been working with the USB microscope and am quite pleased. I'm running the latest software from the Veho site on Window 7. Some random comments.
  • The Veho site lists the maginification as 20X or 200X so don't expect to have all the intermediate magnifications work without some modifications. Also the native sensor is 1.3 megapixel.

The stand initially wobbled due to air being trapped inside of the stand. Cutting a hole, a slit didn't work, in the bottom cover fixed that.

The clear lens cover is really hard to find if dropped on the floor, at least my floor. Put a large mark on it.

The quality of the images is far better than I expected even after looking at some of the pictures that were posted.

The drivers use DirectShow so I can see video in VLC and Sony Vegas Pro. This is a really nice as it should also work with openFrameworks/openCV.
A happy customer.
