measuring PPM signal with the 8CH Saleae

Can you measure the PPM signal from an R/C transmitter using the 8CH Saleae L.A. ? If so, can you reference the analysis choice and points measured. Also, can anyone reference some entry level working knowledge of PPM ( i.e something beyond the Wikipedia definition, such as a project or lab exercise to understand PPM usage and application) Thanks
