Hi,
I have the above caliper. This is pre-zeroed in the factory.
In the closed position after ON/OFF, the ABS reading always indicate 126.43-44mm, ie ~5".
It is an absolute measurement, but I cant figure out where this reading comes from.
Your advice appreciated, rgds.

If you close the caliper and press the zero button (the yellow one) what does it read?

Hi,
Pressing the ZERO/ABS less than 2secs put the caliper in INC mode. It now reads 0.00mm
Pressing the ZERO/ABS more than 2secs put the caliper in non-INC MODE. It reads 126.43mm ( for my caliper).
Moving the thumb wheel to/fro always puts the caliper in 0mm in closed position, thus the caliper is good.
But I don't understand where the 126.43mm comes from in non-INC mode ? Rgds.

It looks like the button above the display is the origin button.

Sounds like your origin is off. You should be able to zero the origin by closing the calipers and pressing the "origin" button.
