I have actually bought this crimper on an whim from some other place, so I was suprised that it found its way into adafruit shop.
It seem to be very solid and nice, but I bought it to try to crimp dupont pins and suck (if it's called that)
Does it exist any simple guide to how to use this to perfection?, for now, I'm just swearing, very difficult for me to hold the wire, the crimp-pin, and at the same time manouver the crimper to be able to make something that works, I guess with practice it can be doable, but for now..
With dupont I mean the connectors on these:

Anyone with some good tips, ideas?

Here's a method that works for me.
1. Insert the crimp pin into the crimper without the wire.
2. Close the jaws of the crimper just enough to hold the pin. You don't want to go so far that the crimping tabs are folded over.
3. Insert the wire into the crimp pin and finish the crimp.
Adafruit has a nice chart showing how to crimp properly. Note the first drawing in the upper left-hand corner. It shows how to prepare the wire. Take particular note of the length of the bare wire and where the tabs are that fold down on the insulation of the wire.

maybe I need to put the plier in an vise, to keep it still, the damn dupont thingy is so small, so I find it difficult to hold it in there, while toying with the wire.
