Hello, i bought the Ladyada starter kit including the 30W soldering iron (Model XY258). I am planning to work on some ESD senstivie component, and i read that the soldering iron should be grounded with a high-meg resistor rather than "hars grounded" to prevent ESD damage. I am wondering if the XY258 is grounded???
Also any recommmendation for a finer soldering tip that will fit this model?
Thanks Adafruit!

Here are the tips available for that iron http://www.xytronic-usa.com/shop/category.aspx?catid=19
I don't see anything about grounding on their (xytronic) site but you could measure it yourself with a meter.

The iron has a grounded cord, and so metal parts would be grounded.
