I have a project that requires pin 9 on a RS323 adapter to be powered (5v)
The adapter I ordered on Adafruit by default does not provide power even though it says it'll provide up to +-10v.
Is there an option in the drivers that allows you to turn on pin9 power? Where is it?
From another site's USB to RS232 adapter makes me think there is an option. When I look at the drivers for their device it's the same FTDI drivers that are available on this site. But they distribute v2.04 and FTDI's website is up to v2.10.
So, How do I turn on Pin9 power on the USB to Serial(RS232) adapter?
Thanks
Enable Pin 9 power on USB to Serial(RS232) adapter.

Re: Enable Pin 9 power on USB to Serial(RS232) adapter.
You're referring to this cable?

I don't believe it can provide power on pin 9. The +/- 10V refers to the RS232 signal levels it supports.
