Multi-meter not working.
I have recently purchased your tool kit bundle, and am very pleased, however, the multimeter doesn't want to read any voltage at all. And I have triple checked to make sure I'm doing everything right. Is there any fix? Or can I return it for a replacement. Thank you.

Is there anything on the display at all?

Yes, but it is just random numbers. I've tried many different power sources and it won't read anything.

How do I return it? I really do not like buying products that don't work...

Re: Multi-meter not working.
I purchased a Digital Multimeter - Model 9205B+ from Adafruit last week. Upon a basic test-run, Continuity works, but DC voltage and AC voltage do not. I attempted to post a video here, as suggested by Customer Support, but was unable to discover the common video formats that this forum will in fact allow. So I will attach
photos showing a comparison between my old multimeter and the 9205B+. The 9205B+'s battery reads full, and I get the same results with a different, fresh battery installed too. I believe that the 9205B+ is defective, and want to return it.- adafruit_support_bill

Re: Multi-meter not working.
Hi, I also purchased a Digital Multimeter - Model 9205B+. It has arrived yesterday, but it is not working as the red test lead is not conductive at all.
I can switch on and the screen works as supposed but it measures nothing. (I saw the teaching videos, manual, etc.) After some struggle finally I built a small circuit to switch on a LED. It worked well. So I extended/changed my jumper wire with the black test lead. It worked well (the led turned on). But when I used the red test lead as a jumper wire the led did not light up. That suggests to me that the read test leas is not conductive. :( (I have no other multi-meter to test it in other way.)
Can you send me a new one? Or what do I wrongly?

Re: Multi-meter not working.
Let's do a simple check:
Turn the dial to one of the resistance settings (straight up pointing to the 200K mark would be good)
Plug the black lead into the COM socket and plug the red lead into the Volts/Ohms socket on the far right.
What is the reading with the tips of the probes not touching?
What is the reading with the tips of the probes in contact with each other?

Re: Multi-meter not working.
In both cases the screen says: "1. "
(I checked each settings from 200 to 200M. When I switch to 200M or 20M there are other numbers on the screen for a half second even when the leads are unplugged. I think that is ok.)
