RF Receiver & Transmitter

Post by bayhilljim »

I recently purchased your 315MHz M4 Reciever & a couple of your 2-Button RF Remote Contol 315 MHz transmitters. They arrived and I wired them up and tested them to switch on an led. No problem.

However, your documentation indicates that these will work up to 25 feet depending on line of sight issues. I can't make them work beyond 3 feet with no line of sight issues? Fresh batteries didn't help. For my project, the 25 foot limitation is fine, but 3 feet is useless. Suggestions?

Is there a way to increase the distance? Do you have other remote control receiver/tranmitter combos that I should order in place of these?

Have you tried straightening out the antenna?

Do both keyfobs have the same distance limitation?

I have changed the orientation of the antenna from horizontal to vertical, but I did not uncoil the loops. By doing this, I was able to increase the distance by about 3 more feet.

Yes, both keyfobs have the same distance limitation.

Well, the keyfobs have fresh batteries, right? So maybe there's something wrong with the receiver.
Please email [email protected] with a link to this thread for a replacement receiver
