I will start by saying I am not an engineer nor have any skills or knowhow to construct the following:
I am attempting to retro fit a 6-8 parking sensor unit in the Tesla Model S
As this was not available on 2012 models (It is now a $500 pre-build option) but if you wish to have a factory installed retro fit they are asking $6,500++
My concept is to offer an alternative which is rather simple using exiting retail parking sensor packages, the issue is the size of the display screen
As I will need a separate screen placement and space is the issue.
I have two locations where I can install a screen as shown in the attached photos.
I am having difficulty finding a display that will fit I have a maximum available space of 63.5MM X 38.1mm (2.5" x 1.5")
I am hoping that I can use a display on this site so if anyone is willing to assist me in the construction please contact me
Thanks

Re: Tesla Parking Sensor
Thanks for the response
I am going to get this one to check the fit
Now I need to be able to connect it to the head unit
I assume that the hook up is basically going to be the same as any head unit any help on how to accomplish this?

Re: Tesla Parking Sensor
Before you buy anything you need to know what type of signals the "head unit" outputs. That device does not connect to a vidoe signal. Tell us what the head unit outputs.

Re: Tesla Parking Sensor
It seems the two most popular outputs are VFD and LCD, the two systems I have ordered from China are LCD and the other VFD
I have contacted the supplier and asked for a schematic for the head units but am not holding my breath for a response
