connectors

Post by lnkjacobh »

hello,
Im looking for something to make a connection between a switch and pcb board. I like the 2 pin JST cable, product id: 261, and the mating product JST-PH-2-PIN right angle connector, product id: 1769, however I would prefer the the contacts for both the connector and the cable be gold coated. The reason being is so no oxidation can occur. Is there anything like that? Also is there a connector that is a mating product to the JST cable that is a through hole connector? any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!

You probably want to have a look at connectors at Digikey, Mouser, or Jameco. Mouser and Digikey will have thousands of options for this type of connector, and a nice web search feature that will narrow it down quickly.

I am using the JST SM connector, and on the datasheet it says it comes in phosphor bronze, tin plated, however I would like to purchase the one that is gold. Does this model come in gold? I have attached the datasheet for reference.

Thanks for the help!

According to that datasheet it does not. See page 2 Materials and Finish.
