The product description says that it can be used as either a "normally open" or "normally closed" switch. By any chance can it be used as both simultaneously? I have an application where I need to close one solenoid and open another when the foot switch is pressed. When I release the switch the reverse should happen. Basically I want to use the foot switch to determine which of the two solenoids is engaged.

Yes. It has a 3-wire cable. One wire is common, the other two are NO and NC.
