I was given some of these strips and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a rechargeable battery pack that would work well. Thanks in advance! I am very new to all of this...

Re: recommend a battery pack?
Not much in the way of technical detail other than voltage. You can power these with an 8xAA battery pack. But depending on how long the strip is, you may be better off with a high capacity 12v NiMH pack

The strip is 16'. Is there something less expensive? Is there anything that adafruit sells that would work?

As I said, there isn't much in the way of technical detail in the product description.. There is no mention of how much current is needed, and no mention of whether any kind of controller is required. You should contact the seller for more information and technical assistance.
