Yay! I suggested that new product. It's my favorite Panavise configuration.
Another tip that you didn't show. If you rotate the right-angle brackets that have the rubber pads 180° on the vertical axis and then when you close the jaws they will touch. See http://www.mcmelectronics.com/content/p ... 015635.jpg This allows you to grip small things. I've lined small cylindrical parts (like DC Barrel connectors) in the 5 notches to be able to solder 5 at a time. Really helps cut down step setup time when doing small production quantities.
The rubber pads are also reversable, each side is better for different things. (Like if you want to hold onto something large and cylindrical, have the "backs" of the rubber grips facing each other.)
